Refund/Exchange Policy

Purpose

To provide parameters, expectations and responsibilities regarding the refunds and exchanges of tickets that have been purchased in advance for performances by Albert Lea Community Theatre (ACT) and other artists at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center (MRPAC).

Policy

ACT/MRPAC will grant refunds up to 30 minutes before the start of show time if the attendees themselves cannot make a show for any particular reason. Patrons may exchange tickets for a gift certificate if requested. Tickets may be exchanged for another performance of the same show if seats are available, but not a different show.

ACT/MRPAC does not offer refunds, exchanges or gift certificates for performances that have already taken place. Refunds and exchanges must be made by contacting the box office.

If an individual MRPAC concert or other event is cancelled, patrons who have purchased tickets in advance will be contacted and receive a refund. If an individual MRPAC concert or event is postponed, tickets purchased in advance will be valid for the rescheduled date. Patrons may also receive a refund for a postponed concert or event if they choose. This must be completed before the start of the cancelled show time, after which the sale is final and considered a donation to ACT, a nonprofit organization.

In the case of inclement weather, most ACT performances will go on as scheduled. In the extremely rare occurrence of an ACT performance cancellation, patrons have the option of exchanging tickets for another performance or a refund. If an ACT performance is postponed, the original ticket will be valid for the rescheduled date. Patrons may also receive a refund or exchange tickets for a different performance date, if available. Refunds or exchanges must be completed before the start of the original performance time of the cancelled or postponed show, after which the sale is final and considered a donation to ACT, a nonprofit organization.

If an entire run of a show or shows in the ACT season is cancelled, individual ticket holders will be contacted and offered a refund. Season ticket holders may keep their printed tickets and may use them as a discount coupon for the following season. They also may consider donating the value of those tickets to ACT, a nonprofit organization.
